Forbes Last Help Foundation Trust hereinafter referred to as FLHF, made an official landmark appearance on the 23rd day of March in 2009 after it was registered under a deed of trust. Initially four Trustees teamed up to form the organisation and were later joined by other three through an amendment which was passed on the 27th of August of 2009.
Its name was derived as follows,
The word 'Forbes' was borrowed from the 'Forbes Magazine' with the intention to remind those who made it into the Rich List to take into cognizance of the fact that they need to inspire, guide and propel the aspiring beneficiaries into prosperity.
The phrase 'Last Help' refers to the termination
of the begging syndrome superseded by sustainable development of the beneficiaries.
The word 'Foundation' signifies a starting point. The organisation was formed to cushion the effects of economic decadence which was experienced within the country and led to a reduction in business in the Financial Services Sector leading to the unavailability of investment loans and other forms of borrowings. As a result of the beforesaid, the advent of the donor involvement and foreign investor attraction was an unavoidable phenomenon. |
